Understanding Empathetic Marketing 

Empathetic marketing, in a nutshell, is all about putting ourselves in our customer’s shoes

It’s stepping into their world, understanding their pain points, and delivering solutions that genuinely address their needs.

But with paid media, you don’t have that much time to go through the whole buyer’s journey to understand them. And it’s not like you can hope and pray that someone might convert into a paid customer one day. That is lost money for paid media advertising!

So what Walt and his team, who has run billions of paid media, think is that if they can connect emotionally right off the bat with their prospects, ask the right questions, and build trust, their prospects would then start opening up about what it is that they need help with.

The First Question Strategy

The real challenge with marketing is to help someone feel whatever emotional state they’re in to take that next action. And it does require a high degree of empathy.

But how would you unlock that challenge when you lack that face-to-face human interaction in digital marketing?

What Walt and his team did was to make it easier for their leads to get into a multi-step form. And the first question they always ask is the most irresistible one.

That very first irresistible question is like the 50% of the challenge. It is what’s going to make or break your campaign.
